Utility player Dusty Rhodes rounds first base after hitting a solo home run in the 7th inning to extend the Giants lead over the Indians to 3-1 in Game Two of the 1954 World Series. It was Rhodes second homer of the series as his first one – 3-run shot – won Game One in the bottom of the 10th inning off Bob Lemon. The Indians came into this World Series with a 111-43 regular season, which was an American League record for wins, but would be surprisingly swept by the Giants in four games. Rhodes would hit .667 for the series with two home runs and seven RBIs for a player who never batted more than 244 times in any one season.
